Privacy policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Mentorat Drone Québec (“MDQ”, “we”) is committed to protecting the personal information of people who use this website and its services. This policy explains what information is collected, why, and what your rights are. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, as well as the federal PIPEDA.
1. Privacy officer
The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Mentorat Drone Québec can be reached at [email protected]. Any question, or request for access, correction or withdrawal, should be addressed to that person.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide: first name, last name, email address, the content of your messages, and the information you enter in our registration or contact forms.
- Transaction-related information: when you purchase a training or a coaching session, payment is processed by our payment provider. We never have access to your credit card number and we do not store it.
- Technical information: browser type, device, pages viewed and aggregated traffic data, when an analytics tool is active.
- Local data from our tools: the projects you save in the pricing calculator are stored only in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
3. Purposes of collection
- Give you access to the training, content and tools you requested.
- Process your purchases and send you your access details and receipts.
- Answer your questions and provide support.
- Send you educational or promotional communications, where you have consented.
- Improve the content and functioning of the website.
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
4. Consent
We collect your information with your consent, freely given when you complete a form or make a purchase. You may withdraw your consent to commercial communications at any time, in particular through the unsubscribe link included in every email. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that allow us to operate our services, and only to the extent necessary:
- our training and payment platform, which hosts the courses, manages access and processes transactions;
- our email delivery provider;
- our web host;
- an analytics tool, where applicable.
Some of these providers may be located outside Quebec. In that case, we carry out the privacy impact assessment required by Law 25 before any disclosure outside Quebec.
Drone career program: this program is offered in collaboration with a training partner. The information you submit in the form related to this program may be shared between Mentorat Drone Québec and that partner, solely for admission, scheduling and follow-up purposes. This notice also appears next to the form concerned.
6. Cookies
This website is a static site that places no advertising cookies and performs no cross-site tracking. We only use your browser's local storage to remember your language choice and, in the calculator, the projects you voluntarily save. You can erase this data at any time in your browser settings. If an analytics tool is enabled later, a notice will inform you.
7. Retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, then for the period required by our legal and tax obligations. Information tied to a lifetime training access is kept for as long as that access remains active. After those periods, it is destroyed or anonymised.
8. Security
We apply reasonable security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to data, and selection of recognised providers for payment processing. As no system is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under the law applicable in Quebec, you have the right to:
- be informed of the collection and use of your information;
- access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- request its deletion where the law allows;
- withdraw your consent;
- file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. We respond within a maximum of 30 days.
10. Information concerning minors
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from people under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
11. Changes
This policy may be amended to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The last updated date appears at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged.
